‘The NHS let me down after I was diagnosed with ADHD’

The Scottish Government has launched an inquiry into treatment and support for the condition.

A Lanarkshire woman says she feels “let down” by the NHS after she was privately diagnosed with ADHD, but is now being refused treatment by her doctors.

She’s forking out hundreds of pounds every month to cover the cost of her vital medication, despite being initially told her GP offered a shared care arrangement.

It comes as the Scottish Government launches an inquiry into treatment and support for the condition.
