A study by Edinburgh University has found patients with womb cancer are not being tested for a genetic condition that increases their chance of developing further cancers.

As little as 5% of people are aware they have Lynch syndrome which is caused by genetic variants, similar to the BRCA variants that increase breast cancer risk.

Experts say gaps in testing means family members of those with Lynch syndrome are left vulnerable to cancer risk.
