Ten taken to hospital after fire in block of flats

Emergency crews were called to Mains Crescent in Niddrie after the blaze broke out.

Ten people were taken to hospital after a fire in a block of flats in the Niddrie area of Edinburgh.

The blaze occurred a few streets from where some of the worst Bonfire Night disorder happened – but the incident does not appear to be firework related.
