Teen jailed after planning to attack Greenock mosque

His plans were halted when police found the boy armed with weapons outside Inverclyde's Muslim Centre.

A teenager who was radicalised online plotted to set fire to a mosque in Greenock – aiming to kill everyone inside.

The self-proclaimed Nazi’s plans were halted when police found the boy armed with weapons outside Inverclyde’s Muslim Centre in January.

The judge says his plans were for a “diabolical atrocity” – and jailed him for ten years.

Because he’s only 17, legal reasons means his name is not being revealed.
