Newly qualified teachers have told STV News they’ve been through a “summer from hell”- left searching for work, as the number of permanent posts plummets.
Many are now languishing on supply lists for short-term and temporary work– others are leaving the profession altogether.
One teacher – told just days before the summer break her temporary contract would NOT be renewed – says teachers feel “disposable and undervalued.”
