Swinney urges those eligible to take up winter flu and Covid vaccines

Last winter, more than 5,000 people over the age of 65 were admitted to hospital in Scotland with flu and Covid.

The First Minister is now urging everyone eligible for a vaccination to come forward.

John Swinney said vaccinations help reduce illness in the community and pressure on the NHS – particularly during the busy winter period.
