Swinney calls WASPI compensation denial ‘serious embarrassment’

Some of the women affected took their protest to the Scottish Parliament today.

The First Minister says the UK Government’s refusal to compensate WASPI women, who lost out through changes to the state pension age, is a “serious embarrassment” for Labour.

At First Minister’s Questions John Swinney accused the Scottish Labour leader Anas Sarwar of making bold promises to WASPI women before the General Election, but delivering nothing for them in government.
