Sustainable aviation fuel plant part of North East freeport bid

The north east is one of five areas in Scotland competing for freeport status

A green freeport in the north east of Scotland would “lead the way” in producing low-carbon fuel for cleaner air travel, the group behind the bid said today.

It’s claimed a sustainable aviation fuel plant at St Fergus would also create hundreds of jobs and be worth millions to the economy.
