For many women the menopause brings debilitating symptoms, and they rely on hormone replacement therapy to ease them. But, a nationwide shortage of the drug, is now forcing some menopausal women to buy it on the black market.

Experts are warning supply chain issues are now posing a serious risk to women’s health. It comes as the UK government appoints a HRT tsar to try to alleviate the supply chain issues. But some women reliant on the treatment say it’s just lip service.
