Scotland’s mental health crisis has seen a 5% increase in suicide.
Figures released today show 792 people took their own life last year – an increase of 30 on the previous year.
The Wellbeing Minister describes the latest numbers as “distressing” and met with support charities and those with experience of suicide in Glasgow today, to share stories and discuss what more needs to be done.
