Students to disclose convictions to Universities after campaign

Universities Scotland is the body which represents all 19 institutions across the country

Scottish Universities will begin asking applicants to disclose any criminal charges for serious crimes such as rape, after a campaign from a survivor who says her rapist was allowed to live with women who were unaware he was awaiting trial.

Ellie Wilson says Universities are unable to properly safeguard students without having tools in place to make them aware of any possible risks.
