Student questions why abuser investigation still ongoing at university

Eva McMonigle's ex-partner was convicted in August, but she was told to take an exam in the same room as him months later.

A student at the University of Edinburgh, whose ex-partner pled guilty in court to abusing her, is questioning why the institution is still investigating the case six months on from his conviction.

Eva McMonigle’s former boyfriend was given a two-year non-harassment order and a 50-hour community pay-back order after he was convicted of threatening or abusive behaviour in August.

Yet Eva says she was told to take an exam in the same room as her perpetrator just months later.
