Storm-damaged Portobello beach timber groynes repaired

The council says the works will help benefit all users of the popular beach.

Half a million pounds worth of work to restore the timber groynes at Portobello beach that were damaged during Storm Arwen have been completed today.

The structures, which help prevent the erosion of the shoreline, had been left in disrepair since the storm in 2021.
