The First Minister says there’s been a “big improvement” in the relationship with the UK Government – after meeting with Sir Keir Starmer in Edinburgh this afternoon.
The Prime Minister was in the capital chairing the first meeting of a new council which brings together devolved administrations and metro mayors.
Keir Starmer insisted the council would not be just a “talking shop.” It will meet around twice a year to focus on “investment and growth.”
But the First Minister said substance and ending austerity would be key to a good working relationship between the two governments.
