St Andrews students take part in annual Raisin Monday

The tradition allows new students to be mentored by their elder peers

Since the middle ages, students at the university of St Andrews have come together for the Raisin Monday celebration.

The tradition sees first year students paired with academic parents to guide them through their first few weeks of term, finishing with a weekend of games and a foam fight.
