South Uist ferry pulled a week after re-entering service

Locals believe South Uist has been hardest hit by far due in the ongoing ferry disruption

‘We’re being left behind’ the warning from islanders after a life-line ferry route in the Western Isles was pulled after being in service for less than a week.

South Uist’s only dedicated ferry is being redeployed to help cover the Isla route because of essential repairs to it’s regular vessel.

It’s caused anger among islanders who have now written to the Transport Minister over plans to re-locate the ferry.
