A workforce crisis, soaring demand and now – two rejected care home funding offers has left the social care sector “running on empty” and “in a race to the bottom” – according to a leading provider.
Ron Taylor of Parklands Homes is urging the social care minister Maree Todd to provide more funding for the sector and prevent a flurry of closures, which Scottish Care says is happening at the rate of one home per week.
