First Minister Humza Yousaf says claims Police Scotland are “in cahoots” with the SNP over the timing of Peter Murrell’s arrest are nothing more than a “conspiracy theory”.
The Former SNP chief – who’s the husband of Nicola Sturgeon – was arrested, then released without charge yesterday, over a long-running investigation into the party’s finances.
It’s little more than a week now, since Ms Sturgeon stepped down – and Mr Yousaf says party transparency is “not to the standard” he’d expect, and vows to do better.
