Sinkhole knocks out North Lanarkshire train services

The sinkhole has expanded with repairs being described as “potentially complex”

A rail line is set to remain closed for another week after a massive sink hole appeared underneath the tracks.

Engineers initially detected the one-metre deep fault between Caldercruix and Drumgelloch in Lanarkshire on Sunday.
