Sheku Bayoh family say ‘no closure’ unless inquiry widened

The family want the inquiry to investigate why the Crown Office did not prosecute the police officers involved.

The family of Sheku Bayoh, who died while being restrained by police officers in 2015, say they will have “no closure” unless Scottish Government ministers answer their plea for the inquiry into his death to be widened.

They are calling for the inquiry to examine why the Crown Office did not prosecute the police officers involved or Police Scotland as an organisation.
