Service held in Edinburgh to mark the 30th anniversary of the Srebrenica genocide

More than 8,000 innocent men and boys were brutally killed in a single month during the genocide.

A service has been held in Edinburgh to mark the 30th anniversary of the Srebrenica genocide, which saw over 8,000 8,372 Bosnian Muslim men and boys murdered.

To mark the UN Day of Commemoration and Reflection for the Victims, Native trees which were saved and brought to the Botanic Gardens were decorated with white ribbons as a mark of respect for those impacted by the atrocities.
