Scottish SPCA sees over 4,000 calls to helpline in past year

That figure is three times higher than in 2021

An animal welfare charity has warned of a rise in people facing the heart-breaking decision to give up their pets as a result of the cost of living crisis.

More than 4 ,000 calls were made to the Scottish SPCA helpline last year with concerns about things like food and vet bills.
