Scottish Government rejects Loch Lomond holiday park plans

Ministers cite flood risk and woodland loss as Flamingo Land-owned Lomond Banks vows disappointment.

Controversial plans for a major development on the banks of Loch Lomond have been rejected by the Scottish Government.

Ministers have concluded the risk of flooding and loss of woodland in the area mean the holiday park should not go ahead.

Lomond Banks which is owned by the theme park operator Flamingo Land says it is extremely disappointed by the decision.
