Scottish Government pledges to dual A9 ten years after target

Campaigners have cautiously welcomed the plans

Ten years on from its original target, the Scottish Government has pledged to dual the A9 by 2035.

Transport Secretary Mairi McAllan admitted the project had not progressed at the pace the government would have liked.

But she insisted there will be “no let up” when it comes to completing the Perth to Inverness stretch.
