Scots urged to report beaver sightings for new population survey

Hunted to extinction 400 years ago, beavers were illegally reintroduced two decades ago.

A new survey will assess how many beavers there are in Tayside and how much they’ve spread since they were illegally reintroduced in the area 20 years ago.

The public are being asked to report any sightings or signs of the creatures.
