It’s a pioneering test that could be a game-changer for a quarter of stroke patients.
Scientists have found that around one in four people are resistant to the most commonly prescribed stroke medication – putting them at further risk.
Now they’ve come up with a simple way to identify them, and say lives could be saved simply by swapping them to another drug.
The test’s being rolled out in two health board areas before it’s launched across Scotland.
