Scots scientists develop technique for reusing chewing gum

Scientists in Edinburgh have developed a new use for old chewing gum. Turning it from a sticky mess on our streets into medical equipment.

The team at Heriot-Watt University have begun the first phase of testing their new lateral flow test kits made out of discarded gum.
