Researchers at the University of Edinburgh have published “landmark” findings into treatment options for a rare brain condition that can cause seizures and life-threatening bleeds.
They conducted the only population-based study that followed patients with cerebral cavernous malformations, or brain cavernomas, over 25 years.
It means experts could design clinical trials based on the data, which could eventually help patients have more control over their treatment options.
