Scots humanitarian workers face difficult scenes in Turkey

Tonight the Scottish Government announced it was sending £500,000 towards the aid effort

Scottish humanitarian workers have described the harrowing moment they heard a family calling for help, under the rubble, two days after the Turkey earthquake.

As the death toll reaches the grim milestone of eleven thousand, Turkish and Syrian communities in Scotland are stepping up efforts to help the thousands left homeless.
