Scotland’s high street sees biggest footfall drop in three years

With inflation predicted to hit 18% and the cost of energy prices soaring, many businesses are shutting their doors for the winter

As the cost of living crunch continues, Scotland’s high street has seen its biggest drop in footfall over the last three years compared to the rest of the UK.

Latest data from the Scottish Retail Consortium also shows that shopping centres struggled to get buyers through their doors.
