Scotland’s first water ban to come in force over River Eden

From midnight tonight, dozens of licenses to use the near 30 mile river will be suspended as levels are deemed 'critical'

Scotland faces its first water-ban after SEPA announced that farmers could no longer take water from the River Eden in Fife.

SEPA say its vital to take action… while farmers say the ban will lead to widespread crop failure.
