Scotland’s first walk-in GP clinic could open within weeks, after it was announced that Edinburgh will host the first of 15 drop-in practices being piloted across the country.
The practice, based at the Wester Hailes Healthy Living Centre, will operate eight hours a day, seven days a week, in an effort to ease the 8am rush.
However, GPs say it will have little impact and argue it’s not a good use of resources.
