Scotland’s fire service is in “crisis”. That’s the warning from a report by the Fire Brigade’s Union – which found low morale and budget cuts are impacting firefighters’ ability to respond to life-threatening incidents.
It identified serious concerns within the fire service, including response times, poor training, poor equipment and health concerns about fire contaminants.
