Scotland's face mask regulations to be lifted on Easter Monday

MSPs were told there is cautious optimism this latest wave of infection may have peaked.

Scotland’s last remaining Covid regulation over the wearing of face coverings will be lifted, but not until Easter Monday.

The First Minister confirmed it will remain mandatory to use face masks on public transport, in shops and in other indoor settings until April 18. Covid case numbers in recent weeks have reached record levels but MSPs were told there is cautious optimism this latest wave of infection may have peaked. Sharon Frew reports.
