Scotland’s A&E waiting times match worst level on record

Just 66.2% of patients were seen within the Scottish Government's four hour target.

The majority of Covid restrictions are now gone, but there is no sign of improvements to A&E waiting times. In fact they have matched their worst on record. Just 66.2% of patients were seen within the Scottish Government’s four hour target.

The number of patients spending more than eight hours in an A&E department stood at 2,373, and a total of 944 patients spent more than 12 hours. The worst affected health board was NHS Forth Valley.
