The number of people dying due to alcohol in Scotland has fallen by 7%.
Statistics released on Tuesday show there were 1,185 alcohol-specific deaths last year, with men making up two-thirds of those.
The Scottish Government says the figures are likely the “tip of the iceberg” when it comes to the harm caused by booze across the country.
