The UK’s climate watchdog has warned Scotland needs to take “immediate action” to cut its emissions after ministers axed a series of policy pledges and repeatedly missed climate targets.

The Climate Change Committee says the Scottish Government must now prioritise the switch to electric vehicles and heat pumps over the next decade.
