Tens of thousands of schoolkids got a day off today – as non-teaching staff in Glasgow, Renfrewshire, East Renfrewshire and Inverclyde walked out in the latest of a series of rolling strike action across the country.
It’s all over a dispute about pay. Despite Unite and GMB unions accepting a deal, Unison members maintain the offer isn’t good enough.
