School strikes to go ahead despite two unions suspending action

Unite and GMB have called off the three day strike while they ballot their members

School strikes will go ahead in three quarters of Scotland’s council areas next week despite two trade unions suspending action today.

But Unison has recommended members reject the local authorities’ body COSLA’s offer which would see a rise of between 6% and 10% for the lowest paid school workers.
