Salmon spawn again in River Goil after waterway restoration project

The river had suffered from significant erosion due to the impacts of climate change.

Atlantic Salmon are spawning once again in the River Goil in Argyll after a community project helped restore the river’s banks.

The river flows into one of the main sea lochs on the Firth of Clyde at Lochgoilhead and had suffered from significant erosion due to the impacts of climate change.

But volunteers and the national park have found a green solution.
