Robot waiters hit the floor at Edinburgh University café

The robots interact with customers, as well as transporting food and plates to and from tables

Some of the staff at an Edinburgh Uni café look a little different since the introduction of “robot waiters”.

They are part of a trial which sees them carry out repetitive tasks to allow their human colleagues to carry out other duties.
