RNLI accused of back tracking on new lifeboat promise

The charity insists the new vessel won’t have an adverse impact on public safety

Volunteers at Arbroath lifeboat station claim lives could be put at risk – as the town’s main vessel gets set to be downgraded.

The Angus station will see its all-weather boat replaced by an inflatable one – with RNLI accused of back tracking on a promise to provide a state of the art lifeboat.
