Rise in shoplifting and abuse at staff finds new report

Some shop workers are now refusing to go into work - such is their concern

Shoplifting and violent abuse is on the rise in newsagents and grocery stores across Scotland.

A report by the Scottish Grocers’ Federation shows staff are facing shoplifting on a daily basis – and violence from customers at least once a week.
