Retailers are hoping for a bumper Christmas period after a disappointing month for footfall in November.
Footfall was down by -6.8% in bricks-and-mortar shops across Scotland, with Glasgow experiencing the worst dip of -9.4%.
Online trade has also been hit with spending figures that prove “concerning” to experts.
Black Friday sales have been running online for most of this month, ahead of store promotions today.
