Residents say they’ve been left in limbo over RAAC in homes

800 homes across Dundee are affected by Reinforced Autoclaved Aerated Concrete.

Residents in Dundee say they’ve been left in limbo living under rooves riddled with the potentially dangerous concrete RAAC.

A family who bought their flat 15 years ago say they face huge repair bills and can’t sell their home because the lightweight concrete, used widely from the 1950s to the 1990s, has rendered it worthless.

The city council said most dwellings are in a satisfactory condition.
