Residents forced from homes due to sea wall erosion

Aberdeenshire Council have said it is currently investigating repair options.

A small number of people living in the Aberdeenshire village of Gardenstown have been forced from their homes due to erosion in a sea wall.

A hole in the structure that supports a road running through the village has grown to the size of a family car.

Aberdeenshire Council closed the route while police asked some people to leave their houses.
