An underground fire from a coal pit that has been smouldering for more than six months in North Lanarkshire, is expected to be extinguished within weeks.
Coatbridge residents say, while they appreciate the progress the works have made in recent months, they are worried about the heavy cleaning and damage to their property the site will leave behind.
