Breaking the cycle of addiction – be it to drugs or alcohol – can be a traumatic experience.

But it’s a trauma that can be made even worse when young children and expectant mothers are involved.

One charity, Aberlour, specialises in residential rehabilitation, where mums can stay with their children, but it’s a service offering just eight beds across the whole of Scotland.

They gave STV News special access to the house, and the mothers and youngsters calling it home.
