Sky high rent rises and mass-evictions. That’s what unions are warning private tenants are facing, after an emergency rent cap was lifted earlier this week.
Living Rent is calling on the Scottish Government to extend the protections, brought in to freeze rent during the cost of living crisis.
The Tenants’ Rights Minister says renters do have powers to challenge landlords on rent hikes.
Landlords however say the cap has done more harm, than good.
