Renfrewshire woman criticises ‘lottery’ cancer care services

Gill Gooding has been told she faces a minimum of 18 months to wait for treatment

A woman from Renfrewshire has blasted what she calls “Scotland’s postcode lottery of care” after being told she has to wait 18 months for preventative cancer treatment.

Gill Gooding and her sister both have the Chek-2 gene mutation– making them at higher risk of developing breast cancer.

Her sister Jo who lives in East Lothian has already received the potentially life saving treatment.
